The DMP-BDT100 joins Panasonic's DMP-BDT300 and DMP-BDT350 Blu-Ray players in providing superior 2D and 3D picture quality, as well as VIERA CAST internet functionality, support for a wide variety of standards, video upconverting, re-sampling and remastering of audio at 96 kHz, and other great features. Panasonic's GT25 series 3D HDTVs, for example, allow images for each eye to be alternately reproduced at the rate of 60 frames per second (fps), making a total fps for both eyes. Viewers watch the images through high-precision 3D Eyewear (not included), which opens and closes the left and right shutters in synchronization with the alternating images. As a result, a separate 1920 x 1080 full-HD image is sent to each eye. This addresses the image quality problems and blurring that were common to earlier 3D systems, and creates sharp, crisp 3D images. Wide Format SupportThe BDT100 player outputs full 3D HD, handles a wide variety of audio standards, and upconverts all standard definition video formats to 1080p, the highest-possible video resolution.
